Melissa Coffey is the author of FRIDGE-OPOLIS, her debut picture book. She spent 20+ years writing professionally for grown-ups before discovering her passion writing for kids. Nick is a writer and an award-winning elementary teacher. He has traveled the world and taught students in Tanzania, India, and Morocco. From all of his travels he has learned one important lesson: No matter the circumstances, kids are kids. When he’s not traveling, he enjoys spending time with his wife, their dog, and his brand new baby boy in Austin, Texas.

Mr. Thatcher has been working to build the perfect house, but it never quite seems like home. His new guests help him change that.
Since she learned to hold a pencil, Kristin Wauson has been making pictures and stories. She grew up in the Texas Hill Country, inspired by fairy tales, C.S. Lewis, music, horses and classic Disney animation. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, and former graphic designer, Kristin came to kidlit after rediscovering picture books via her two sons. Kristin’s debut picture book, Mr. Thatcher’s House, released in August 2022 from Sleeping Bear Press.

From choosing a destination and staying safe to what to cook and doing it on a budget, this guide provides fun advice for tent camping, car camping, and backpacking.
Laura Fisk is an illustrator and her work is mainly drawn using an iPad pro and an army of pens and pencils. Her background and true art love is in printmaking, especially screenprinting. She is thrilled to have her first illustrated book out with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, "Sleeping bags to S'Mores," an intro to camping book.
